Personal Mythology - Ancestral Heritage
This series uses an artistic language of artifacts to express my connection to
ancestral roots and heritage. Although 7 generations removed, my French Canadian Great Grandmother was from the Huron tribe in Quebec. I feel like I have always been informed by this ancestral gene and it comes out in my art practise.
In Jung's terms, 'Archetype' is defined as the first original model of which
all other similar persons, objects, or concepts are merely derivative, copied, patterned, or emulated.
